A Day in the Life

My day typically starts at 7AM. I wake up, flip over to read the clock and fall back asleep, or get up and go to the bathroom and then curl back up under the covers. Actually it doesn’t feel like sleep because I am talking to myself, saying “go to sleep, you have a few more hours.” I have my alarm set for the absolute last second I can sleep (9:31 AM), because anything less than that and I don’t have enough time to get ready. Although I did once get ready and out the door for work in 10 minutes.

Today I woke up at 9:28. I remembered the time because I woke up before the alarm today, haha. I shut off my alarm, and put my earrings in. Even before I put my glasses on. I know, I’m kinda weird like that. I took my iPhone into the bathroom and checked my email and Facebook quickly while using the toilet. Afterwards, I combed my hair, put pomade in it to control the static in my hair, brushed my teeth. Mind you I still don’t have my glasses on. I’d just be taking them on and off. Since the air is so dry in Vegas, I am the queen of salinating products. I have artificial tears that I use to help wake me up, saline spray for emergencies in my purse. After I stumbled back to my room, I finally put my glasses on. The path to and from my bathroom isn’t that bad, and it’s just me, so I don’t have to worry about tripping over things.

I got dressed for work, jamming out to the music on my iPhone as usual. I packed my Killers bag that I used to use for school since my regular tote needs to be washed. I put my work stuff in it, made sure I had my cell phone and thermos of water. I also grabbed a crackberry (raspberry) iced tea from my fridge and packed baon: dinuguan, machado, and rice. Dad had bought some Filipino food on the way home from his Arizona lottery trip.

I had to get gas so I left my house a little earlier than usual. I took the long way around to get to the gas station down the street. I probably didn’t need to but I had some time to kill. After I went to Jack in the Box and got my regular: supreme croissant and an orange juice. I go there so often, they know me, lol.

I got to work right on time, for a change, and was told that practically everyone was either told to stay home or were offered early outs. It was disgustingly slow. Skeleton crew was an understatement! I caught up with my news online and my Dear Prudence column. We got Border Grill for lunch, so the baon I packed is sitting in our fridge at work. I forgot to bring a burrito home for my dad and I also forgot the leftover Border Grill food. We had like 5 burritos left! Doy. My supervisor’s gonna be mad I left that mess out too, haha. I don’t know about you but when I go on trips, I come home and I feel so blah. So on top of feeling blah, my muscles are still healing. They are so stiff! I rub Icy Hot on them before I go to work, and it seems to be working. Maybe I’ll put some on tonight. I am also best friends with my bottle of Tylenol, ahahaha.

I left work and got home in one piece. I changed out of my work clothes, and took care of my dog. We bring him inside during the day because it’s so hot. My job is to take care of him when I get home. We eat dinner at the same time. After he was able to eat, I got my dinner: machado and rice. I curled up on my bean bags while I ate my dinner, and watched “Now and Then” on Netflix. I had a bowl of cookies ‘n’ cream ice cream for dessert. I watched “Futurama” and “Jersey Shore” concurrently. I’ll have to find a way to choose one or the other because they both air at the same time, and asking me to choose between them is just wrong.

I got ready to take a shower, and killed a spider with my book in the bathroom. YUK. I don’t mind spiders because we need them but I don’t like them crawling all over my shit, haha. I took my shower and remembered I had my memes to do. So I did Project 365 and this one, which brings us to the present.

See, I’m pretty boring. :)
